TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Contract of Hire

The hiring contract shall be between the Clients and Owner of the property. The Client is responsible for all other members of the client's party. They shall be made subject to this Contract of Hire. The Contract of Hire is not effective until the client receives a written confirmation of booking via email or letter. Payment of the booking deposit constitutes acceptance of those terms and conditions by the client.

Booking Deposit

Booking deposit is £100 per week booked. Bookings will be confirmed upon the receipt of the required deposit payment and the names of all members of the party. However, if the booking is made within eight weeks of the holiday commencement date, the full rental amount will be required on booking.

Security Deposit

A refundable deposit of $250 is required to be paid to the management company upon arrival, usually via a credit-card authorisation. This is to be held as a security against inventory damages, theft, excess cleaning costs where applicable etc. The deposit will be returned to the client, subject to a satisfactory inspection by the management company.

Balance Payment

The balance of rental will be due eight weeks before holiday commencement date. The Owner reserves the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received before this date.

Cancellation

Provided the Owner receives written notice of cancellation not less than eight weeks prior to the holiday commencement date, the client will not be required to pay the full balance. The booking deposit shall be forfeited.

Liability

The owner cannot accept liability for the acts and omissions of our principals over whom we have no control (such as airlines, car-hire companies, rental management companies and other such third party individuals, businesses or organisations). The Owner cannot accept liability whatsoever for any injury of any type or loss of life sustained by guests or any visitors to the house, swimming pool & jacuzzi, or grounds or for any loss or damage, however caused, to any property brought to the premises, its grounds or swimming pool & jacuzzi. Information concerning the property may from time to time be amended to reflect any changes in the construction or layout of the property and its interior decor as may be required.

Party Size

The maximum occupancy of the property is twelve people (thirteen if using a hired cot for an infant). Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES may the maximum be exceeded. THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMITTANCE IF THIS CONDITION IS NOT OBSERVED.

Clients' Responsibilities

The client is responsible for the property and is expected to take all reasonable care of it and all its contents, fixtures and fittings. The Owner has the right to take legal recourse to reclaim any losses caused by the client, during the rental period. Smoking is prohibited in the villa.

Pets

Sorry, no Pets allowed in the villa.

Damages

All damages and breakages are the responsibility of the client, and their costs shall be payable upon demand. Where the amount concerned is no more than $250 it may be deducted from the security deposit. For amounts over $250 the client will be issued with a bill and payment will be required within 21 days of the bill date. The owner reserves the right to take legal action for non-payment.

Arrivals and Departures

Check-in times are AFTER 4 pm on the day of arrival.
Check-out times are BEFORE 11 am on the day of departure unless a specific request for a 5pm late checkout has been agreed in writing.

Amendments

If after a booking has been confirmed the client decides to alter any details of the booking, the owner needs to be informed in writing. When the owner is notified more than eight weeks prior to arrival, the owner will endeavour to make the requested changes. The owner reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of up to £30. Alterations requested within eight weeks of arrival may be treated, at the owners discretion, as a cancellation.

Changes or Cancellation

Wherever possible all changes will be advised to you without delay. Should circumstances beyond our control require us to cancel a booking we will, where possible, make alternative arrangements. Should this prove impossible or unacceptable, and once instruction has been received in writing from you, you will receive a refund of all monies paid.

Force Majeure

The owner accepts no responsibilities for and shall not be liable in respect of loss or damage or changes caused by force majeure events (e.g. strikes, fire, flood, wind, storms, closure of airports, traffic accidents or delays, bad weather, war, riot, civil disturbance, forced entry etc.) or any other event beyond their control.

Insurance

The client is strongly advised to take out adequate insurance cover. The owner is not responsible for any deaths, injuries, illness or loss or damage to property including motor vehicles or to that of any guest, however caused.

Conditions of Carriage

These booking conditions are subject to the condition of carriage of your road, rail, airline or sea carrier when you travel with them to or from your holiday destination and these conditions contain certain conditions which limit or exclude liability.

Website

The website (stevesvilla.co.uk), and any related materials, are a guide to the quality and description of the property. The owner reserves the right to make modifications which are shown to be necessary in the light of operating experiences. In the event that unintentional errors occur, the Owner cannot accept liability for these details.

Price Guarantee

The prices quoted are subject to change. Once a booking has been confirmed, the total rental price is guaranteed in the booking confirmation, providing the balance is paid at least 8 weeks prior to arrival.
